Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2026-08-14T12:23Z ( STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
GOES: CCOR-1
Activity ID: 2026-08-14T12:23:00-CME-001 (version 3)
Note Keyword:
COL: Possible collision with previous CME
FOV: Front Bright front; may be evidence of pileup
GAP: Data gap
Ha: Bright emission (likely H-alpha emission)
HAL: Halo CME
OVR: Event partially overlaps with another CME
Source Signature Keyword:
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
F: Flux Rope
Note: CME observed to the W in STEREO A COR2 and as a NE partial halo in GOES CCOR-1, not seen in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 in real-time due to DSN gap, but imagery became available with later backfill. The source is far-sided, only likely visible as field line movement over the NE limb in SDO AIA 171 starting as early as 2026-08-14T10:42Z and over the NE limb in STEREO A EUVI 195 starting around 2026-08-14T10:55Z. This CME is preceded by a faint front that is quickly overtaken by the main bulk of this CME.

Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type
